Compare not only text but also different versions of a MS Excel spreadsheet!
The uniplicity <compare> functions offers a most efficient MS Excel tool, saving many hours of laborious work.
The compare function in uniplicity|report is provided to give you an easy way to compare similar element versions, to determine just how 'different' these versions are.
Comparing text in MS Word documents is something most users are familiar with. However uniplicity|report takes the <compare> function far beyond a singel comparison of two different versions of only text documents.
As within uniplicity|reports, all components are stored as elements, users have the ability to compare any version of an element with any element version available. Regardless the element type, wether this is a text element or an elelement containing an MS Excel spreadsheet, the Uniplicity <compare> function allows you to see the differences in the versions. With the right permissions a user can review the changes to accept or reject them, just like you might use in MS Word in the first place. And again, a new version of the element is created hence a new possibility to compare this element with previous versions.
Changes are marked in red (deleted information) or in green (added information). With a mouse over information is dispayed who and when and at what time this change was made.
Uniqueness of this function is that with only a few mouse clicks users can compare MS Excel files fully automatically. Uniplicity verifies that you always work with the current (latest) version of your MS Excel spreadsheets.
